Superb independent family run hotel a short walk from Finchley Road tube, so easy to find - set in a delightful, quiet tree lined road. I was due to check-in later than anticipated and Martin was most accommodating and kept in touch. My room was at the front of the glorious property, spotlessly clean, enough room for me and my belongings, plenty of hanging and storage. Super comfy bed so I enjoyed three undisturbed nights' sleep. West Hampstead tube is within walking distance too. Great place to stay if you don't want a large faceless corporate hotel.
Dawson House was a great base for our trip. Well connected and lively neighborhood. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom is small, but, not a deal breaker in this price category. Martin is welcoming and warm, a good front man for a family business. I wish the Dawson House team all the best.
Located in a quiet residential area and walking distance from Finchley Road tube station,this hotel is simple, clean and ideal for a short stay. While walking up the carpeted floors & creaky stairs, one does get the feeling of living in an old English house, which is exactly what it is. We had a room with a double bed which was spacious and the high ceilings gave it a taller-wider feel. Conversely the built in bathroom is tiny, so large individuals may have some trouble. It's amazing how a sink, toilet, curtain and shower can fit in a confined space. Very functional and sufficient. The decor was simple and the linen were clean. Comfortable beds. We had a good sleep. Situated one long tube station ride from Wembley(no stop in zone 3), this place is convenient & affordable compared to other places around the concert area.
We had a good time here. It should be said that this is not a hotel, more like a professionally run Airbnb or Guest House. Martin, who owns and runs it, was very friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, with restaurants and Metro Stations in walking distance. The room, and the house, itself has a charming old-timey quality to it, with carpet on the floor and old sliding windows. Two things that we would have changed: the bathroom is indeed tiny, and a small fridge in the room would have been nice. Overall, for that price, it's a good option if you're in town for a few days and want something with a bit of character instead of a standard hotel room. Thanks Martin!
We really enjoyed our 2 night stay at this very charming hotel. It has exceeded all our expectations. Room was beautiful & specious ,very comfortable beds, luxury towels, teas and coffee in the room. It was very pleasant being able to sleep with open windows and have zero noise. The owner of the hotel was very helpful and welcoming. I would definitely stay there again and recommend this place.
Great location- 5 to 10 minute walk from 2 tube stations so easy to get to. Staff were very lovely when checking in. Room itself was a good size for us however if you are larger, the bathroom could be a bit tight but worked for us. The walls were a bit thin and could hear the neighbouring rooms a couple of times but on a whole it was very quite and the road outside was so quiet. Bed was comfy and room had everything we needed. They restocked the tea and milk facilities which was great. They don't do breakfast but there is a pret and other cafes and supermarkets next to finchley Road Station so it's so easy to get some breakfast. Very very much worth the money.
I had a conference in the Royal Free Hospital for 2 days over the Bank Holiday Weekend. I've given it 5 stars, as I am rating this on value, cleanliness and friendliness. The hotel has been refurbished so looks and feels fresh in the communal and room areas. The surrounding are is residential so feels safe and is well lit. Martin, sent a courtesy text and phone and was call prior to my arrival and was very welcoming. He had some local knowledge and makes you feels it ease with a great persona. I would be very happy to stay here again for the price of this hotel!
We had a 4 persons room for myself mother daughter and granddaughter. So relaxing large room. Very small bathroom but didn’t bother us. Very clean and comfortable beds. Quiet too. We were greeted and given lots of information that we asked for and extra information about the area. Close to the tube and restaurants were a 6 mins walk. Definitely recommended and thank you
